The Federal Government says Nigeria has made remarkable progress in Combating Tuberculosis despite the outbreak of Covid 19.
Nigeria’s Minister of Health, Doctor Osagie Ehanire stated this at the annual national TB conference held in Abuja.
He however noted that despite the progress, there is an urgent need to find missing TB cases in the country.
Data from the World Health Organization shows that Nigeria has one of the highest burden of TB on the continent.
This year’s conference focuses on sustaining a resilient TB response in Nigeria, in the face of the heavy impact of COVID-19 on the responses to other diseases.
