Covid-19 Vaccination: 55 million Nigerians to be Vaccinated by End of January 2022

The Nigerian Government says its aiming to vaccinate 55 million of its residents by the end of January 2022 with the COVID-19 vaccination, a figure it says will represent 50% of its targeted population.

The Hon. Minister of Health, Dr. Osagie Ehanire made this known at the national flag off of COVID-19 mass vaccination campaign, held on Friday in Abuja.

Doctor Ehanire says it’s no time for Nigeria to rest on her oars because with the population of 214 million people to be vaccinated, the country still has more work to do.

According to him, ” the country must work harder and faster than other countries just to get same result. It is critical that we reach all the eligible persons in good time he added.”

He also noted that Nigeria has enough vaccines to sustain the campaign before the deadline
