The Federal Ministry of Education is drumming support for personal hygiene for all levels in human endeavors. The Ministry through it’s Honorable minister who was represented by
Permanent Secretary, Arch. Sunny Echono who gave the charge while addressing the press today during the global hand washing day commemoration in Abuja.
Echono maintained that the sustainability of hand hygiene is greatly assured when young people in primary and secondary school are involved in the campaign.
In addition, he said each year as the young individual participate in the global hand washing day celebration, they would always remember that washing hand is one of the step to avoid getting sick and will ultimately influence their peers, family members and entire society positively.
The permanent Secretary appreciates the effort of the federal ministry of environment in ensuring young people are not left behind in the universal call for hand hygiene, saying it’s quite strategic.
October 15 is Global Handwashing Day, a global advocacy day dedicated to increasing awareness and understanding about the importance of handwashing with soap as an effective and affordable way to prevent diseases and save lives.
