The 15-years concession agreement between the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) and the NISA Medical Group, over the management of Garki Hospital has elapsed, as the federal capital Territory administration announces the taking over of the management of the hospital.
On Friday, the Medical Director of NISA Garki Hospital, told journalists in Abuja that all the equipment, current staff strength amounting to 900 that were brought in by NISA hospital, will be moved out as the agreement terminates.
Some patients at the hospital speak on the services they enjoyed during the public private partnership.
Recall, Garki Hospital Abuja is owned by the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA).
It was closed in 2001 for full renovation, after which a concession agreement for the management and operation of the new Garki Hospital Abuja was signed between FCTA and Nisa Premier Hospital, on March 2007, after a competitive bidding process.
