FG Calls For Stakeholders Support to meet 70% of health’s needs.

The Federal ministry of health says 70 percent of rural dwellers with modest health centres, revitalization of primary health care system is the way forward.

Minister of Health, Dr. Osagie Ehanire disclosed ghis during his keynote address, at the just concluded Primary Health Care Summit in Abuja.

According to him, about 43 per cent of Nigerians have no access to quality primary healthcare services, and only about four doctors available per 10,000 people, nothing that the high disease burden and frequent outbreaks in the country was due to weak primary healthcare system.

The minister is calling on stakeholders from other sectors to join hands and change the narratives by providing 70 percent of rural dwellers with modest health centres.
