The National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA), in Nigeria is to integrate childhood immunization for children from 0-23 months into the ongoing COVID-19 vaccination in the country.
Executive Director, NPHCDA, Dr. Faisal Shuaib, stated this at the National COVID-19 Vaccines bi- weekly briefing, in Abuja.
According to Dr. Faisal, the integration is to ensure that preventable childhood diseases are not neglected in the face of the response against the COVID-19 pandemic.
He also calls on Nigerians to take advantage of the ongoing COVID-19 vaccination campaign across the country and get protected against the virus, as new variants continue to emerge in parts of the world.
