NPHCDA RAISES CONCERN ABOUT POSSIBLE SPIKE IN COVID-19 INFECTIONS DURING YULETIDE

The Executive Director, National primary Health Care Development, Dr Faisal Shuaib is worried that Nigeria could experience a spike in Covid-19 infections as the festive season approaches.

Doctor Faisal stated this at the official Flag off of the national mass vaccination campaign in ABUJA.

According to him, the total number of eligible persons who have received the first dose of the vaccine in Nigeria is 5,989,480 which represents only 5.4% of eligible population.

Shuaib also mentioned that almost six million Nigerians have received the COVID-19 vaccine, and none of the six million Nigerians have died as a result of COVID-19 vaccination.

He stresses that the conspiracy theories are falsehoods, crafted to distract Nigerians and undermine the global effort to protect people against COVID-19.
