In the quest of finding solution to the ravaging COVID-19, The former Vice Chancellor of Redeemed University Oyewale Tomori, and Professor of Virology has called for financial support as the government cannot do it alone.
Speaking to news men on Tuesday at the ongoing stakeholders international conference on COVID-19 in Abuja. Professor Oyewale believes that the project need more funds, and would also need the government support, he added that the government is trying enough but without the government they will proceed on getting funds elsewhere.
Furthermore he decried the greatest impediment on achieving self sufficiency in medicine, stating that it’s the environment we have in the country, he said the country needs to have the the environment to perform, if not we have wasted talents.
Bio-vaccine Nigeria Limited is chaired by Prof. Oyewale Tomori, 49 per cent of the company is owned by the Nigerian government with the balance held by May and Baker Nigeria PLC with 51 percent and they have plans to begin construction of a plant.
